Terms of Use
Last updated October 10, 2026. These terms apply when you use CarTradeEasy to get dealer offers on your car.
1. Who we are
CarTradeEasy is operated by 16525458 Canada Inc. (a Zundpunkt initiative), an Ontario business ("CarTradeEasy", "we", "us"). Our dealer network is run through our sister service, bidriveauto. By signing up or using CarTradeEasy, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. What CarTradeEasy does, and doesn't do
- We connect you with local dealers who make offers on your vehicle based on an inspection you complete on your phone.
- We are not a dealer, broker or buyer. We don't own, buy, sell, value or hold any vehicle or payment, and we aren't a party to any deal you make.
- Dealers decide their own offers. We don't guarantee how many offers you'll get, how much they'll be, or that any dealer will buy your vehicle.
3. Who can use it
- You must be at least 18 and either own the vehicle or be authorised by the owner to sell or trade it.
- The information you give us must be true and complete, including the vehicle's details, kilometres, condition, accidents you know about, and whether you owe money on it.
4. The inspection
- After you sign up, we send you a link to inspect your vehicle with our inspection partner, PAVE. You take the photos and video yourself, following the steps on screen.
- Please show the vehicle honestly and completely. Don't hide damage, warning lights or problems you know about. Dealers rely on the inspection when they make offers.
- AI Interpretation: PAVE's AI and ours (via Anthropic) read the inspection to describe the vehicle's condition. These descriptions can contain mistakes, omissions, or misinterpretations. They help dealers make offers but aren't a professional appraisal. You bear the sole risk if an AI summary misrepresents your vehicle to a dealer, resulting in a withdrawn or altered offer. We expressly disclaim all liability for technological failures or AI misinterpretations.
- You give us and PAVE permission to use your inspection photos, video and report to provide the service, including showing them to the dealers who make offers.
5. Offers
- Dealers who open your inspection can each make one offer. You'll see each dealer's name, city and type, the amount and any conditions.
- Every offer depends on the dealer seeing your vehicle in person and confirming it matches the inspection and what you told us. A dealer may also check its history, liens and paperwork, and may attach conditions such as a clean vehicle history report. If the vehicle differs in a meaningful way that wasn't disclosed (for example, undisclosed damage or a larger loan than stated), the dealer can change or withdraw its offer. The dealer should explain why.
- You're free to accept, negotiate or walk away at any point, at no cost.
- If you owe money on the vehicle, we may show you roughly what's left after the dealer pays off your loan. That figure is an estimate based on what you told us. Your lender's payout statement is what counts.
6. Picking an offer
- When bidding closes, you can pick one offer. Before you confirm, we'll show you that only the picked dealer receives your details.
- Once you confirm, we share your name, phone number and email with that dealer only, so they can arrange to see your vehicle and complete the deal. The other dealers are told they weren't selected and never receive your details.
- The sale or trade-in, including paying off any loan, transferring ownership and the final price, is agreed directly between you and the dealer, under the dealer's own paperwork.
7. Price
CarTradeEasy is free for customers. Dealers pay bidriveauto fees to see inspected vehicles and make offers. Nothing is taken out of the amount a dealer pays you.
8. Texts and emails
When you sign up, you agree that we can text and email you about your inspection, your offers and your pick. Message and data rates may apply. You can stop messages at any time by replying STOP or emailing us, but we may then be unable to tell you about new offers.
9. Fair use
Please don't sign up for a vehicle you aren't allowed to sell, use someone else's details, submit false or misleading information, contact dealers to get around the process, or interfere with the website. If you intentionally obscure damage, misrepresent the condition of the vehicle, or hide a lien, CarTradeEasy reserves the right to immediately cancel your request and permanently ban you from the platform.
10. Disclaimers and liability
- CarTradeEasy is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it accurate and available, but we don't guarantee that it will always work, or that offers, inspection descriptions, AI summaries, or estimates are error-free.
- We aren't responsible for what a dealer does or doesn't do, including changing an offer after seeing your vehicle, or for any deal between you and a dealer.
- To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to $100.
- Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Ontario's Consumer Protection Act or other laws that can't be waived.
11. Changes and general terms
- Binding Arbitration & Class Action Waiver: To the fullest extent permitted by law, any disputes with CarTradeEasy will be resolved through binding arbitration in Toronto, Ontario, and users waive their right to participate in class-action lawsuits. This clause does not apply to consumer rights that cannot be waived under Ontario's Consumer Protection Act.
- We may update these terms, and we'll post the new date at the top. Changes don't affect a request you've already started unless you agree.
- These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
